A network version of Advanced Task Scheduler has been released. In addition to the features of the Basic and Professional editions, the Network Edition offers the ability to run a client and server on different computers, plus connect to the server via TCP/IP protocol. It also supports connections via a secure SSL connection. Suitable for use in remote network environments, the software also allows an unlimited number of clients to connect to the server. The new version also has features of the Professional edition such as support for complex schedule types. Tasks can even be run on an hourly basis. Multiple schedules for each task are also supported. Another benefit of the new edition is that the client segment does not have to be registered. It can be installed on any version of Windows starting with Windows 95 or Linux. Encryption is also included with the software. Data remain hidden to any third parties, while only authorized personnel and clients can see what is sent.
