Filminator lets users search films by title and download them for free in HD or Full HD video quality. It is released in November 2021. Users can optionally download subtitles. Data displayed for each film is as follows: Poster, title, year, IMDb rating, genres, language, trailer, synopsis, and names and pictures of director(s) and cast. Mouse click on a poster or picture, opens the respective IMDb web page. Users can pause resume, delete, or search downloads and have access to the downloaded files. Filminator?s window is divided into two parts. On the left side users search films and view the search results and on the right side there is a simple download manager. This is essentially the whole user interface of the program. There is also a lot of repetition of user interface elements to minimize the number of steps the user has to take. For example, there is a delete button for each download. So, it can be deleted with one click. The user interface is fast and responsive and that makes working the program enjoyable. The search result is shown to the user as he she is typing the film title. The user can scroll the list of results with the mouse wheel or up and down arrow keys. Then the user can choose the desired video quality for a film by clicking on the related button; Or pressing Enter to download the film with a default video quality. The user can change the default video quality. Users can?t search films by genre, rating or actor director name. They can only search by film title or display a list of random films. This is shortcoming of the program that will be addressed in the next version. The number of films that can be downloaded at a time is limited to three. The rest of the downloads are marked as ?Queued? and downloaded later. But there is a priority checkbox for each download to indicate it should be downloaded first. There is a text box on top of the download manager that filters the downloads as the user types a text in it. When the user changes the download location, all the current downloads are moved there too.
